Despite their size, Termites are by far the most damaging pest that Australian homes face. Termite surveys find that approximately 1 in 3 homes in Australia will be affected by termites at some stage, which often causes greater damage than fires, storms, and floods combined. 

Contrary to common belief, termite damage is generally not covered by most home insurance policies, leaving many with damaged homes that are sometimes no longer safe to live in and no help in sight.

These insects eat wood and cellulose-based products and never sleep.

Subterranean termites are extremely destructive and the colony can be anywhere, sometimes up to 100 meters away.

Annual timber pest inspections and regular treatments are imperative to protect structures. At the same time homes that are within 80ms of a large timber / cellulose mass such as a tree, a power pole, etc…are considered to be high risk and should consider more regular inspections.
